Meet Dr. Agbai.
Dr. Agbai is a Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology and the Founding Director of Multicultural Dermatology and Hair Restoration at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento. As a board-certified dermatologist with more than 10 years of experience, she is renowned for her expertise in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of hair loss and scalp disorders.
Dr. Agbai employs a full-spectrum, evidence-based approach to hair restoration, integrating medical management of alopecia with advanced procedural treatments. Her services include follicular unit extraction (FUE) and follicular unit transplantation (FUT), platelet-rich fibrin matrix (PRFM) and topical exosome therapy. She tailors individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s hair type, pattern of hair loss and underlying diagnosis.
Through a unique collaboration between the UC Davis Department of Dermatology and the University Skin Institute, Dr. Agbai offers Northern California’s only comprehensive Hair Loss to Restoration program. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, with her work featured in leading journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, and the British Journal of Dermatology. Additionally, she serves as a dermatology contributor on regional television programs, including “Good Day Sacramento” and on KCRA3.
Dr. Agbai earned her Bachelor of Science from Emory University and her Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine internship at Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by the C.S. Livingood Clinical Research Fellowship in Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital and her Dermatology residency at UC Davis Health.
