Hair loss is not one condition

A one-size-fits-all plan can miss the reason your hair is thinning. Dr. Agbai begins with a medical evaluation of your scalp, hair loss pattern, health history and goals. Treatment is selected to stabilize loss, support healthier growth or prepare for restoration when appropriate.

A foundation for long-term care

Medical treatment may include topical or oral therapies selected for the diagnosis, likely benefits and tolerability. Depending on the condition, care may address hormonal influences, inflammation or contributing health and nutritional factors.

Treatment is monitored and adjusted over time. Preserving existing follicles and controlling active disease are important before considering procedural or surgical restoration.

When evaluation is especially important

Seek an evaluation for gradual thinning, a widening part, a receding hairline, rapid or patchy loss or scalp itching, burning or tenderness. These symptoms can have different causes and require an individualized assessment.

Why a dermatologist-led approach matters

Dermatologists distinguish scarring from non-scarring alopecia, identify signs of inflammation and guide the timing of procedures. Scarring conditions need prompt attention because damaged follicles may not be able to regrow hair.

Medical and procedural options

A complete plan may include medical treatment, PRFM, selected topical procedures, or FUE/FUT transplantation. Not every patient needs a procedure, and surgery does not replace treatment of ongoing hair loss.

Your consultation includes an evaluation, guidance on medical versus procedural options and a personalized restoration plan.
